Our Story: A Calling to Give Hope
The story of NeXTgen Agape Academy is one of personal calling, sacrifice, and unwavering resilience. It began not in a boardroom, but with a broken heart for students from indigenous families, a background our founder, Merrian Raths, shared. Her mission was forged through personal hardship, working from a young age to fund her own education and overcoming vulnerability and abuse. This experience ignited a burden "to give back the voice of the voiceless, to give hope to transform lives.

Resilience
The first Agape Academy campus opened in the mountains of Cebu, using a church as a classroom for just 14 students. Fueled by a deep sense of mission, the founders poured their own resources into building campuses in Cagay and Abugon. In 2018, after a divergence in vision with a partner, a pivotal decision was made: to continue the mission independently with a renewed commitment to modern, transparent governance.
NeXTgen Agape Academy is the product of that resilience, built on the promise of ensuring continuity of education for its students through every challenge, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our story shapes our ultimate purpose: Inspiring a Generation of Responsible Leaders. This is the direct result of our unique educational model, which is designed to Give HOPE to TRANSFORM.
We are committed to nurturing the whole person, extending our responsibility beyond academic instruction to include the development of character and practical life skills. Our goal is to graduate leaders who make informed decisions, not just for their own benefit, but for the good of those around them, embodying the values of critical thought, integrity, and Agape.
